This …desire, this encompassing need, appeared quietly a couple of months ago, and has kept ratcheting up in intensity…
It started with an offer, which turned into a challenge, then it got a whole lot more serious when one of my students showed up at my house with the best amplifier in the world, but, so removed from music did I imagine myself, that all of that might’ve subsided, or been overwhelmed by other aspirations, were it not for another musician showing up — like a ninja, like a tetherball to the back of my head, like a breath of air –
– so it is that suddenly I find myself in a band, in that way that I haven’t felt for many years — as a child of destiny, a soldier with a mission, and miles to go before I sleep…
So I’m opening up the music that went before. We’re revisiting some of it, but more importantly, we’re finding out who we are together, and out of pure instinct, I’m putting this music up. Enjoy.
